Celebrate the 4th of July with colorful and delicious fruit kabobs that are perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 medium-length wooden kabob sticks (approximately 68 inches long)
  • 12 strawberries (halved lengthwise OR 24 raspberries)
  • 48 blueberries OR 24 blackberries
  • 24 banana slices (about 1/2 inch thick) OR 24 regular marshmallows OR 24 1-inch chunks of angel food cake OR 24 1-inch chunks of pound cake

Instructions

  1. Start by prepping all the ingredients. Wash the strawberries, blueberries, and any other fruit you are using. If you choose to go with cake or marshmallows, have those ready too.
  2. Thread a strawberry half or a raspberry onto the bottom of each kabob stick.
  3. Add your choice of white fruit or dessert. This can be banana slices, a marshmallow, or chunks of cake.
  4. Follow by threading on two blueberries or one blackberry.
  5. Repeat this pattern until you reach the end of the kabob stick.
  6. Once finished, the kabobs can be served immediately. Alternatively, cover them in plastic wrap and store them in the fridge until you are ready to serve, ideally within 12 hours for optimal freshness and flavor.

Notes

Choose fresh fruits for the best taste and texture. You can mix and match with seasonal fruits or opt for other desserts.
