These individual mini shortcakes combine tender pre-made dessert shells with sweet macerated strawberries, light whipped cream, and a hint of non-alcoholic orange flavor. A simple, elegant twist on a classic summer dessert, perfect for get-togethers or quick indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale

10 pre-made dessert shells (dough-based, halal-friendly)
1 cup diced strawberries
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
2 tablespoons non-alcoholic orange extract or zest
1 cup heavy cream for whipped cream

Instructions

In a bowl, mix diced strawberries with powdered sugar and non-alcoholic orange extract. Let sit for 15 minutes to macerate.
In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream and 2 tablespoons powdered sugar until stiff peaks form (store-bought whipped cream can be used instead).
Assemble by placing a dessert shell in each of 10 mini cups or desserts molds.
Spoon macerated strawberries over each shell.
Top with whipped cream and a fresh strawberry slice if desired.

Notes

Use frozen raspberries or blueberries as a substitute for strawberries in off-season.
For completely dairy-free, replace heavy cream with coconut cream and use a plant-based sugar substitute in the shells if available.
Chill assembled desserts for at least 10 minutes before serving for a firmer texture.
